I've reported to the Council a few issues. They will not all be resolved instantly but I continue to chase them.
Plastic barriers abandoned outside New Ideas opposite Boots: these have been ignored for weeks after pavement repairs trapping litter and surrounded by weeds. After alerting the Council these have now been taken away and the weeds and litter completely cleared. However, the barriers themselves have been left against the side wall of the car park toilets. I've spoken with the Council again asking for them to be completely removed. We await..
Fridge and other rubbish abandoned outside Benny's fish & chips in the Market Square: I've asked for this long-standing fly-tipping to be removed.
Fridge freezer fly-tipped (about three weeks ago) alongside the side wall of the Vaults on the Market Square: I've asked Council remove it.
Passageway behind White Horse pub, Benny's fish and chips and the Legion: we've cleared this area before (with no thanks from anyone). Speaking with Council today I'm told it's a private passageway and can't be cleared by Council. It's shocking that these premises serve food and drink and must surely be a health hazard with overf!owing bins, dumped domestic items and a definite nasty aroma.
