A re-run of last week, but this time a total of 10 people turned out for all or part of the afternoon and the final tally was over 40 sacks of litter picked from the South side of this normally very busy road. The weather was perfect for a February day, the roadworks just slowed the traffic enough and the way it came in boluses meant it didn't feel too dangerous with care. It's worth remembering in future what an opportunity roadworks can offer! The final tally over the two weeks was over 70 very full sacks of litter, sad, but satisfying at the same time! Well done and huge thanks to those involved... you know who you are.
Some of our volunteers working hard.
Before...years of discarded litter...
and after... what a difference!
Just a small part of our haul waiting for the DDDC to collect.
