Whilst out on a walk today Janet called in on Green House Farm on Windmill Lane and asked about the poo bin sited at the entrance to their farm/public footpath. There are two similar bins along The Punch. DDDC had told her previously that these bins were not theirs, didn't know who owned them and would not empty them. She has now discovered that these bins have been installed by Offcote Parish Council and are emptied and maintained by the the farmer at Green House Farm. What a wonderful service they've provided for visitors and locals alike.
Janet would like take this opportunity to promote their small farm shop. They sell Jersey milk, butter, yoghourt, ice cream, a small number of cheeses, cakes, bread, eggs and greetings cards. There are a couple of tables outside to sit and enjoy your ice-cream and a small parking area.
If you're passing by, do call in and support them.
