The DDDC has asked that we remind you that when leaving your sacks for collection they should be by a DDDC official bin and not left randomly by the roadside. If the sack becomes too heavy to carry to a bin you MUST PLEASE tell the council where it has been left so that the lovely men who collect our sacks as they empty the council bins know where to look. They don't drive every street every day, but if we let them know, then every pink sack is picked up within 24 hours. Its a great service, let's not abuse it!
You can let them know where you have left a random sack by emailing "pink sacks left at .... to: EnvironmentHotline@derbyshiredales.gov.uk
Thanks again, we really appreciate your efforts.
