Proud Of Ashbourne supports Keep Britain Tidy and Waterside Care in their 'Million Mile Mission'

prideinashbourne

This spring join Keep Britain Tidy and WatersideCare on our million mile litter picking mission, and show some love for those special places that helped us though lockdown.

Taking place 28th May - 13th June 2021 and in partnership with community organisations, businesses and the government, we're aiming to collect and safely dispose of litter from our rivers, canals, ponds, streets and parks - travelling the equivalent of one million miles - to the moon and back, twice!

What is good for the environment is good for our mental and physical health too.

There is a strong link between staying active and maintaining positive mental health, but small acts of kindness - to our planet and ourselves - can improve our surroundings and our mood.

How to take part

We know you already do an astonishing amount of work, year round. But, every spring, we like to take a couple of weeks to focus on cleaning-up as part of the country’s biggest environmental campaign. And so, you can PLEDGE to do a dedicated #GBSpringClean and help us achieve our #MillionMileMission. To pledge, simply visit our website.

You can pledge alone, or in a group (maintaining social distancing rules of course). We think this is a great time for people who don’t usually litter pick to discover the joy of caring for the environment, so please do ask your friends, family and colleagues to pledge too!
