Very successful day on the bypass

Huge thanks to the 30+ volunteers who turned out on Sunday last to litterpick the bypass while the road was closed for improvement works around the footpath and for routine works on drains and hedges. Well done Sue for marshalling us all and for being very organised so everything went smoothly despite some last minute changes of plan. We cleared the whole road in 1.5 hours ( I seem to remember it took some 7+ hours last time we did it!) The DDDC collected the bags almost before we could count them. The Dcc were extremely helpful and grateful for our input. They have suggested they let us know when future similar works are planned so we can help if we are able. It was a pleasure to get together without the cars rushing past!
